About IPSPI

IPSPI is an independent and non-profit professional organization of social work sciences.

Vision and Mission

Vision:

The only professional organization towards social work as the main profession in the implementation of social welfare, both in the main setting and in the supporting setting, with the characteristics of a scientific organization, authoritative, innovative, independent, united, and solution-oriented.

A brief History

Mission:

Strengthening the organization and management of the management, increasing the capacity of human resources, strengthening services and quality assurance, supporting the implementation of education, professions, and recognition, conducting policy and case advocacy, and developing cooperation at both the national and international levels.

Independent Professional Social Workers of Indonesia (IPSPI) (previously known as the Indonesian Professional Social Workers Association) was officially established on August 19, 1998 during the 1st congress at the Acacia Hotel Jakarta. This organization was formed as a single professional forum for professional social workers in Indonesia. The establishment of IPSPI is in line with the mandate of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 11 of 2009 concerning Social Welfare, and is strengthened by Law Number 14 of 2019 concerning Social Workers.
